Hands on Pocket Planting DesignGeneral InterestA native wildflower garden will attract beautiful butterflies and bees to your yard and help pollinators stay healthy. You can plant a garden anywhere from the boulevard of your city lot, under pine trees, and even that shady corner where nothing ever seems to ever grow. We will cover it all from weeds to seeds and start to bountiful blooms. We will even “walk” through a project from scratch. Participants will receive an informational folder full of great publications, a native plant book, and several door prizes will be given away from local plant specialists.Winter 2026 -

Home AloneYouth ProgramsIs your child ready for the independence of being home alone? Parents need to be sure their children have the skills and maturity to handle the responsibility safely. Whether for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, being trusted to be home alone can be a positive experience for a mature and well-prepared child. This class for children will address several topics relating to being “Home Alone,” including age guidelines, safe habits, house rules, after-school routines, phone calls and door knocks, dog emergencies, personal safety, handling the unexpected, gun safety, severe weather, fire safety, intruders, and basic first aid tips. Students attend this class independently, and parents are encouraged to review the information and discuss it with their child/children after class.Winter 2026 -
