Licensed teachers and classroom assistants provide daily large group activities, focused small group activities, snack time, and individual choice time at learning centers in the classroom. We use the state approved assessment tool called “Teaching Strategies GOLD” (TS GOLD). It is an ongoing, authentic, observation-based, whole-child assessment system. This means we do not test children. The summer SPARQ Performance program is designed to build and progress athletic development through core and auxiliary movements. Even though bench, squat, and cleans are our core movements, our goal is to enhance an athlete's functional Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness. We want to create confident athletes. A confident athlete is a dangerous athlete. We will be using the TeamBuildr app. Athletes make sure you have this downloaded on your phones. This is how we will be taking attendance and sending out workouts. School of Fish is a 2 1/2-hour kids fishing class open to kids (and adults!) from grades 1 and up taught by pro angler and fishing TV show host Mike Frisch. Students learn about lakes, finding fish in those lakes, and some great ways to catch them. They also learn to tie a fishing knot and rig and use a slip-bobber setup. 1st -4th graders will need an adult to accompany them. Entertainment includes: Escape room, axe throwing (closed toed shoes and signed waiver required), casino games, laser tag, pickleball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, dunk tank, hypnotist, and caricatures.
