Fencing Team

"En Guarde! Come and compete in the fastest growing youth sport in the country and be part of our team! Chisago Lakes & Forest Lake Community Education have combined to build this dynamic team of competitive fencers ages 13 - 18.  Represent your Middle/High School while fencing for Minnesota Sword Play coached by Kailan Benford. If you have experience fencing, GREAT...if not, that's ok and you will learn. Fencing is a sport of strategy, skill, decision and athleticism unlike any other; not to mention rich in history and tradition!

The competitive season runs October - February, includes 4-5 optional tournaments and provides an opportunity to fence against athletes from all over Minnesota. Participants are responsible for purchasing regulation approved electronic equipment (for competition only, practice equipment provided) and for all tournament fees and transportation.  Practice will be held 2x per week at FLCE (Tuesday evenings) and Chisago Lakes WCC (Saturday afternoons).

Fencing Team Start Date 10/28 (Tuesday) Come to our informational meeting Tuesday, October 28 at Forest View Elementary Media Center.
